The contract is for an initial 3 months, but is likely to go beyond
that. Based in Subiaco, Western Australia.

The Technical Writer will be required to write the technical
documentation need to provide ongoing support for EBI (Java/.NET) and
Midrange applications.  

The Technical Writer will be required to complete the following tasks:-
* Work closely with project lead, business analysts and developers to
identify existing technical documentation;
* Work with existing templates to produce a standard set of technical
documents for a range of applications;
* Develop , where required, new document templates;
* Using existing system design documentation to write technical support
manuals;
* Conduct interviews/workshops with developers to capture technical
detail relating to specific applications; and
* Work closely with business representatives, in association with the
project lead, to ensure the quality and level of technical detail is
consistent across all documents.

Skills and Experience ( Essential )
The following are considered essential skills required of this resource
* 3 to 5 years experience in technical authoring and writing;
* 3 to 5 years experience in writing technical or application support
documentation;
* Experience in using advanced MS Word features i.e. style sheets,
macros;
* Self starter who can deliver finalised documentation to agreed
deadlines;
* Experience of delivering documentation to a consistently high quality;
* Good interpersonal skills;
* Technical awareness of application design and development approaches;
and
* Strong verbal communication skills
