The second to last question in this list is from a US Marine.
CMOS's answer is hilarious.

Subject: New Q&As on the Chicago Manual of Style Web site
To: rod.stuart@xxxxxxxxx

The Chicago Manual of Style Web site has just been updated with answers to
the following new questions:

Q. If one refers to the DeVos (pronounced "DeVOSS") family members in the
plural, would they be the DeVoses or the DeVosses?

Q. I was hoping you could tell me if brackets can be used instead of
parentheses for most things.

Q. I am quoting from a document that has a lot of words in all caps, for
emphasis. I feel that I should affirm that the capitalization is in the
original, not added by me. Should I make this affirmation with a
parenthetical comment, or should I just leave it alone?

Q. I can't find hyphen placement in ages, such as "fourteen-years old." And
what about "years-old"?

Q. What should I do if I'm missing certain bits of information for the
bibliography?

Q. The author is citing several people who contributed to a listserv. Would
including it in the reference list be acceptable?

Q. I am unsure as to the rules for spelling out what abbreviations stand
for. Am I right in thinking these should be lowercase when written in full?

Q. As a U.S. Marine, I know that what's right is right and you are wrong.
Thou shalt place two spaces after a period. Period.

Q. My proofer has begun inserting a comma prior to "including" followed by a
list. Should this comma be omitted?
