Hi All,

I am having a problem with conversion from Word to PDF, specifically in =
the way file links are converted.

In the original Word document I create a link to a file that is in the =
same folder as the original. This inserts a hyperlink to the file that =
just refers to the file name (a relative reference), eg: "file1.doc".

I then convert the Word file to PDF and save the PDF in the same folder. =
The links are converted to absolute references that specify the whole =
path of the file, including all the folders involved back to the root of =
my PC, eg "C://group/projectx/file1.doc".=20

If I then edit each link in the PDF file and recreate the link it saves =
them as Relative References. As you can probably imagine, I don't want =
to spend the rest of my life redoing links!

It would be ideal if the conversion retained the Relative References =
instead of Absolute. =20

Any suggestions? I was hoping there is some sort of setting I could =
change, but have been unable to find it.

I am using Word 2000 9.0.6926 SP3 and Adobe Acrobat 5.0.0. When I do =
the conversion, I use the Word menu Item Acrobat>Convert to Adobe PDF. =
The conversion setting is eBook (although I have tried other settings =
with the same result).
