NFB was instrumental in Micro Soft’s decision not to develop Narrator farther,
they were thinking about doing it, and NFB convinced them it wasn’t so
necessary, well it turns out that NFB had gotten a lot of money from Freedom
Scientific, need anymore be said? Or as a few of us call them Scientific
Slavery.

Wouldn’t be the first time NFB barked up the wrong tree, and they are probably
doing it because they either got some funding from Google which owns Android,
or they want to shake Apple down, doing the Jessie Jackson thing. That
wouldn’t be a first time either. Hopefully Apple will generally ignore them
and just keep doing as they do, they generally seem to do okay for the most
part. I don’t want a Jaws lite on my Mac, and I don’t want my phone to act
like an Android phone, it’s an Apple product, so it should continue to be such.

NFB tried to drop crap on Apple when Voice Over first came out, but as usual
they were comparing their orange Jaws to Apple’s Voice over. They are
different, their basic concepts are different. We don’t need special scripts
for Voice over to do stuff for us, if we do it is literally then done in Apple
Script the same Apple Script that sighted people use to have stuff done on
their machines too. Nothing special then. Instead of blasting Apple, how
about NFB handing some money over to the people who develop NVDA to help their
development. They could probably use the money, and they would likely listen
to NFB a little more than Apple will, because Apple listens more to it’s own
developer pool than outsiders.
