Everyone on the group is learning and everyone should know that the people are doing their best when they give information to others regarding the help they are seeking. Instead of just letting the problem work itself out, from time to time he gets on a rant about how people do not need to post unless they are giving out correct information. That would discourage many from posting in fear that the information they give may be wrong, but they are on the fence about it thinking that they know the answer. However, Since they are on the fence even though their answer may be correct the question may go unanswered. Some times when I ask my questions I purposely ask for both subjective and objective responses to try and combat this approach. I could understand it if someone was intentionally providing false information on a continuous basis, but you know. I never realized he was the person behind Blindcooltech. Amanda has said that I act arrogant from time to time when I am talking to people, but I do not necessarily notice it, maybe sarcastic, but I do not think it is arrogance. However, I guess that is a fine line that gets treaded when talking about sarcasm and arrogance. He should have used a more toned down intro I think because compared to the given podcast he sounded tired. Actually as a person generally he is okay, but like all of us I guess he has his moments. He did moderate the blind cool tech e-mail list, maybe that is what made him tired *lol*. He wound up with his hands full with that list. I joined the blind apple group, but it is already shunted into it's own box and I haven't gone and read any of it yet. Guess if he turns up arrogant if I can't humble that I will probably eventually leave because I really don't want to waste my time with folks like that, to many other things in life to take care of that are a lot harder decisions. Maybe that's arrogant on my part. I've been accused of being that way before by one person, but that person has no credibility with me as far as I'm concerned. That particular person's record speaks loudly for itself. Yes he called himself that on one of his blind cool tech podcasts in his canned intro. hyped up the upcoming podcast with a fancy intro then when he started talking in it it sounded like he was exhausted. But I am subscribed to his blind geek zone podcast. Guess I didn't explore the website enough to find the group. But guess I'm covered since I have a phone and a couple of macs. I can even talk vintage or retro macs since we do have a working G4 Mac here across the room from me *lol*. Those G3s and G4s internally were built like little tanks, they just keep on going. Not as frail as the Intell chips they use now. On Jul 12, 2014, at 6:50 AM, Josh < <mailto:lawdog911@xxxxxxxxxxx> lawdog911@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: Here is the unsub info. Amanda was debating between the Kindle or iPad so we settled on an iPad with the Kindle Application for IOS. She wants to get her textbooks to read through the app, but we have never done this so if anyone has used it then any feedback would be great. Additionally, we found that the iPad does not come with a voice recorder, but again she is wanting to use it for school. So, do any of you all know of a good recorder for the IOS device?
