I don't seem to be able to do this unfortunately. SDL does not know if
the application is going to capture input. If I explicitly make SDL wait
until click, all apps that does not capture input (like EL) will require
user to click before they work which will be painful.

I added some fix which might actually solve this problem. Tomasz, please test this client:

Now you need to click within the game window for game to capture the cursor - please try how this new client "captures" mouse when switching fullscreen/window and changing window size or screen resolution.
