The bottom.
Besides I did the calibration in a pitch black room, and there was no stray
light whatsoever.
and the projector settings were lacking quite a bit of green actually...so

I'm not sure what you mean. dispcal will work with whatever the instrument sends
it. The test points are distributed with a high concentration towards
the black end.
