Hmm. I'm not sure why you need all that. ArgyllCMS certainly doesn't
need any specific Unix porting stuff, since it's native OS X, and
you don't need Root in most cases.

Simply download the .tgz of the binaries from here
<http://www.argyllcms.com/downloadmac.html>
and de-archive it to a suitable directory.
Point your shell path at the executables and you're done.

If you are having trouble following the above, let me know what is
causing difficulty, and I will attempt to address it by improving the
documentation.
