Members and Friends of Austin Mennonite Church
For Laura's birthday I will be driving her to Denver to visit our daughter
and son-in-law. We will be away for the weekend of Oct 14 in order to be
present for the wedding celebration the following Saturday. Two
opportunities for ministry remain available for Sunday, Oct 14: Children's
story and Preacher.
The theme of the bulletin is 'Great are the works of the Lord,' and the
suggested scriptures in the lectionary rotation are 2 Kings 5:1-3, 7-15c;
Psalm 111; Luke 17:11-19; and 2 Timothy 2:8-15. These texts are only
recommendations and can be adjusted if desired.
Whenever someone recognizes an interest in leading the community in either
of these ministries please let me know, and I will prepare the bulletin
before we depart Austin on Wednesday, Oct 10.
