This is a few days old and many of you may have seen it circulated on Facebook and elsewhere, but thought this was worth posting here. Thanks to Dr. Harding for his life of service. This NYT piece notes his Mennonite connections. He apparently was a Mennonite lay pastor in Chicago and went as a church representative to observe race relations in the south in the 50s where he met and became an associate of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. And he was the author of Dr. King's famous speech opposing the Vietnam war.
