According to an NPR report today, there were no chemical weapons.
They used white phosphorus, which is not considered a chemical
weapon, nor is it prohibited by international conventions. It is an
incendiary weapon than can cause extreme suffering if used against
human beings because it continues to burn even while in the body.
It's a terrible weapon, but it's not in the class of weapons used by
Saddam against the Iraqi people; it's not a poisonous agent used to
kill large masses of people. According to the report, the Italian
filmmakers drew rather poorly-justified conclusions regarding the
cause of death among the people they investigated. The types of
injuries they found cannot be caused by white phosphorus, and white
phosphorus was the "chemical" weapon used in Fallujah.

Friends,
I am downloading this--takes about 4 hours on a fast computer. I will make some DVD's so those who wish to see it can.

Every American should see the film "Fallujah: The Hidden Massacre"
Get ready to watch something that you were never intended to see. This Italian film documents the U.S. usage of chemical weapons in Fallujah. WARNING: It is disturbing.

Pick the English download version (the streaming version is poor quality video).
Please spread the word about this. It is important for us to actually see what is happening in our name. This film will never be shown on American television. If you can, make copies on DVD or VHS and pass them around to everyone. Without WMD's, our excuse for invasion is that Saddam tortured and gassed his own people. This film proves that we are doing the same, and worse. If our government has learned a lesson from Viet Nam, it is that the control of media images of the war is vital to maintaining public support. That is why unembedded journalists have been targeted and their video seized.
