Just an FYI.  As usual this is not a clear cut and dry situation.  I have a
Mexican friend who works at the facility as an assistant teacher.  She says
it is not so bad and that before this kids and parents were separated.  It
is so much better for children to be able to stay with both parents.

I get the impression though, that the protests have helped improve the
situation for the people who are there though.  They removed all bars so it
is less like a prison and the food has improved.  It seems that giving the
place some attention and keeping it in the spotlight is good.
