    CPTnet> Christian Peacemaker Teams (CPT) is seeking participants
    CPTnet> for a special Holy Week delegation to the U.S./Mexico
    CPTnet> Borderlands, 10-17 April 2006.  Based in Tucson and
    CPTnet> Douglas, Arizona, delegates will monitor human rights and
    CPTnet> meet with representatives of human rights groups,
    CPTnet> government officials, and individuals on both sides of the
    CPTnet> border. They will confront unjust immigration policies
    CPTnet> through a special Holy Week nonviolent public action.
    CPTnet> Delegation members arrange their own transportation to
    CPTnet> Tucson, Arizona. Cost excluding transportation is $400
    CPTnet> U.S.  PLEASE APPLY BY 17 MARCH.

    CPTnet> In 2005, over two hundred men, women and children perished
    CPTnet> in Arizona, because U.S. border policies channeled
    CPTnet> migrants into the most dangerous areas of the desert.
    CPTnet> Migrants desperate to improve the lives of their families
    CPTnet> are vulnerable to attacks by bandits, mistreatment by
    CPTnet> unscrupulous guides, and harassment by anti-immigrant
    CPTnet> vigilantes. A dramatic increase in the number of Border
    CPTnet> Patrol agents has militarized the area.

    CPTnet> CPT is a faith-based group that seeks participants for all
    CPTnet> delegations who are interested in human rights work,
    CPTnet> committed to nonviolence, and willing to participate in
    CPTnet> team worship and reflection. Delegates should have plans
    CPTnet> to share about the trip upon return to their home
    CPTnet> communities and congregations.
