- Pat - Steve is enjoying Wimbledon finals. Women's group will be at
her house this Thursday - 2405 Emmett Parkway.
- Susanna - GRE completed! House buying in process! Exploring masters
program possibilities.
- Rudy - enjoys Mennonite singing and peace witness. Affirmed the
message and work of Phil and Julie Hart and Christian Peacemaker Teams.
- Julie - pray for Christian Peacemaker Team leader, Kryss Chupp, who
recently lost her 24 year old daughter in a house fire. *(Here's a
summary from the CPT Facebook page: Christian Peacemaker Teams laments the
death of Korissa Valdivia Chupp—only child of CPT Training and Publications
Coordinator Kryss Chupp—in a house fire. Kori touched the lives of so many
CPTers who went through training in the Chicago office, including those who
went through the very first CPT training in 1993. **Jerry, Jr., "Juju",
Kori's son, has significant burns on 25% of his body, most of it on his
face and one arm. He is receiving treatment at a burn center. In addition,
his body is struggling to overcome the toxins he inhaled from the smoke.
This weekend will be critical to see if his body is able to overcome the
toxins and what the effect might be on his brain. Kia and Jerry Senior are
expected to recover. Both suffered from respiratory damage due to smoke
inhalation. Jerry has superficial burns, but Kia also suffered serious
burns on her arms and hands. Both Juju and Kia will likely need to remain
in the hospital for a month or more while they undergo multiple surgeries
to heal the burn wounds. Kori was 24 years old. We invite healing prayers
for Kryss and Kori's family in this terrible time. -Lee)*

Dama - Ted Jr. has been paroled and could be released in as early as 60
days. She appreciates the letters and support of the church. She commented
on the positive impact of Martin's letters on Ted Jr.

Clayton - I have a new job with a local company that works with energy
efficiency retrofits. Hannah is taking a trip home to see her family in
Georgia.

Peggy - pray for George dealing with chemo, steroids, blood sugar up,
diabetes. It is not easy to adjust to a diabetic diet.

Lee - Gloria still in hospital with some post-surgery complications, may
be home by the end of the week. Thank you to Julie and Phil Hart for
sharing about Christian Peacemaker Teams today and for their peace and
justice work on behalf Colombians dealing with violence and threats.
