Your post made me remember my old neighbor from Clark Lake, MI.  My husband and 
I would be working on our cottage and measuring boards and where they should 
go.  Our neighbor, an electrical engineer, dealt in 1/64".  You could hear the 
loud groan from next door whenever we said, "close enough."
