Boy, have I got a deal for you Herb! (only if you have the Dakota catalog). On page 2-3 or 3-4--anyway, the front of the catalog, Dakota shows all their colors like a color charg and they are listed by name and number. When you look at a design and it has the color, it is listed by their color name. Example: Lt Lt Gray---their color is actually named Lt Lt Gray. They also have colors such as MTurquoise 2---that is the color they list for their design. They just don't use very "creative" color names. Ya just need their catalog---ahhhhh, marketing tool huh? For an example it is up to you to decide what a "dark gray" is. I usually have to try several colors to get the desired results. It would be nice if they would pick a thread manufacturer then use those color numbers in their designs. We could then use our color matching software to get closer to what we are seeing in their catalog. Then there is also the scenario where we change all the colors to suit ourselves. Nothing is perect. Just my Sunday morning opinion. I'm having a hard time matching up colors to the Dakota designs. Does anyone have a list that they use to best match up your ARC colors? I have colors picked out that I like best for certain colors, red, blue, green, etc.... It's the other colors I'm having trouble with, like taupe, tan, rust, and lights and darks of colors. Thanks for any help! Michele Zimmer Carefree Creations Michele@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx www.CarefreeCreations.com
