Ok, all these messages have me confused even more about hat frames. I really have a hard time getting designs sewed with a WACF on my XT. No matter how I hoop them, brim straightened out as much as possible, or brim following the natural curve, my designs usually do not sew out level. After sewing when I look at the hat face my sewing looks to be tilted upwards towards the left side ( right side on the WACF). My hats are not moving during sewing so I know I have them secured correctly with the teeth of the WACF upper and lower clamping together. Believe me this was the first thing I learned on my first order of hats. With reviewing messages about the CCF and all the praises sung on how easy and better it is to use a CCF, I was considering purchasing a couple. I have 4 WACF's. Will CCF's work on an XT? And, if so, do I have to purchase a different type of hat frame to mount on the machine itself? Most of my work has consisted of hats so far and I really want them to be spectacular. I haven't used that for a year-can't remember what goes with what now! I have 3 of the CCF frames and that's about all we use.
