We ran all Kingstar threads when we first got our Amayas and had nothing but
trouble with them - yet they work great on our Barudan! We've since
switched to R/A and life is a lot easier around here!

You might try to tighten the bobbin a little bit.
As far as Metallic what brand are you using? Some brands don't run well for
me. I like R/A Metallic, have had the best luck with it although I hear
Issacord runs well too.
