Hi Anand, Nice to see you in the Amaya Group. Welcome. How was your visit to the states? What is tatami for the fill under lay? Is it the same as tarapunto? Sandra I digitize with and without under lay depending on the product. I have beenn bashed by other digitzers for expressing the view that under is not a necessity for all designs Id do a center run for lettering but I leave it out for caps. Lettering on towels Edge run then double zig zag and satin on top eliminates the use of topping. for fill stitch I would use a Tatami at 90 degrees spaced at about 2 to 3 mm this helps you reduce the top fill density. At the end of the day it is trial and error and lots of experience Anand Sandra, E-Mail me direct. I have something for you. hkacree@xxxxxxxxxxxx Herb Royal Embroidery ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sandra Walker" <aece@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <amayausers@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, February 09, 2006 1:21 PM Subject: [amayausers] digitizing/underlay? > I'm about to digitize my first design and need the wisdom of the group. > In training, underlay wasn't addressed.
