I'm usually one of the silent lurkers, but Ethyl (my XT) is not working today 
and I thought maybe I could get someone to walk me through this. I use Ethyl as 
my toy, no commercial work done here, so she only gets used on the weekends. 
Keep her well lubed and oiled and I took my training with Juli from Kona (hi 
Juli!) in '06 so I don't remember if there are default setting that must be set 
up when you reinstall the OS (version 7.) That was my first issue this AM, OS 
said it was missing some driver or something, so I uninstalled it, put back in 
and thought everything was fine (NOT!) I didn't realize it, but the center of 
the hoop was off by quite a bit and when I began sewing the needlebar hit the 
hoop, broke the needle and got an X axis warning. Fixed that mess and again 
thought everything was fine (NOT!) The final outcome is that now she sews the 
tie in stitches, then gives a broken thread error. Anything I can try before 
calling for service? TIA
