The Z error prompt is a function of anything that is assiciated with the
turning of the Z axis, i.e., the bobbin/rotary hook and takeup lever cam disk
shafts.

Using the "go to " tab in Maintenance, Head timing, will not do anything to fix
your problem. Relieving any possible drag in the rotary hook area, the
needlebars and the reciprocator and reciprocator and presserfoot shafts may
take care of your issue. This means a "complete" lubrication sequence may be
needed, not just oiling the rotary hook.

Go into Settings, Timers and go through each one of the Steps. Lubricate
everything. This would be the first step before looking at a possible bad order
Z axis motor or motherboard.

While going through the procedures, also look for any thread and/or debris in
any of the gears or wrapped around any of the rotating shafts including behind
the rotary hook body....anything that could cause drag to the rotating
surfaces....
