I don't think it's quite the same. I'm seeing the effect in Design Shop without even sending it to OS. What I've been doing (always have done) - is open file in Design shop make change, save it (same file name), close it, open file in OS, sew. What is happening, created a new file using a font from Design Shop, make changes to density, underlay stitch type, etc. saved it. Days later reopen file change the letter from T to A, and on the screen (have it in 3D) you can see the stitch type change from a fill back to a satin. Press apply. Look at the settings in the column tab, and it says fill but visually the image is definitely satin. Close the properties window. Reopen the properties window and the stitch type says satin. What I figured out with Jeff' s help was a little pixie glitch in the program....there is a 'phantom' copy of your design in Designshop...created when you 'load' the image to Amaya. If you forget to save your ORIGINAL copy with changes, you actually are changing this 'ghost' image....and when you go back and reopen the file, you are opening the one that didn't get saved! What I learned to do is IMMEDIATELY save ANY changes with a NEW number (like PDhatfile1.ofm, make changes, save as PDhatfile2.ofm, etc.) and also in AMAYA, save the last image ( I would go PDhatfile2a.ofm) so the a would clue me that it is the one I sewed. Open this one in design shop next time, change the lettering or settings, save as #3, so on). Wasn't a problem with fonts or anything-its that darned function of the computer itself saving a 'ghost copy' as it moved the file from designshop to Amaya. Hope this helps!
