[amayausers] Beginning problems

I am a newbie.
Just bought a used machine but bought the upgrades for the software.
I seem to be doing well in DesignShop.
However, I am having trouble in the OS/and the machine.
Two problems:
a) When I load a design to be stitched out, it loads the design
all of the way on the left and thus hits the hoops, thus will not
stitch. (I cannot center it.)
b) I can not delete the sent design from the work load. When I hit
the "x" at the right corner (the means of closing a design), it
registers at the bottom that this is to close and give option for
saving, but nothing happens. It stays there. I can only close out the
whole program (OS). But, when I reopen, that same design comes up
again-still off center.
Does anyone have suggestions?
