With the fabric you are getting the hoop tension just right. It is important not to stretch the garment too much on the hoop at the same time there must be no slack fabric inside the hoop. If you can mimick the way the sample fabric is stretched and hooped with the garment you will get the same effect when you embroidier on both. Also try substituting one of the layers of cut away with poplin. It also helps to have the design sewing from in out as in caps. Anand Good morning all, I'm having an issue that I wonder if someone could help me with: When sewing on Blue Generation's new 3/4 sleeve stretch poplin blouse (BG6218), I have trouble with puckering. The shirt is a cotton/poly/spandex (58% C /39% P /3% S) blend. It happens to some degree with every design that I've sewn on this shirt. I've also seen this puckering on a design sewn by another embroidery shop on the same shirt. When I run a test sewout on material with a very similar fabric content it looks fine, with little puckering. Then run the design on the shirt, and I get puckering. I reduce the density of the designs as much as possible which helps on some designs, but it doesn't always work. The same designs sew out fine on other types of shirts. I've had to redo some shirts for one customer. She insisted on .5" lettering, Athletic Flair font, although I advised against lettering that big. Of course, she was unhappy with the results, so I changed to Boffo-Dak,but still am not happy with the results. Again, a test sewout on material with a very similar fabric content it looks fine, but the actual shirt sewout puckers a lot. The most recent settings I used were: Boffo-Dak font size .5"e density 4.5 (4.6 didn't cover well enough) centerwalk 30 underlay short stitches off column width 150% 3 pcs 2 oz cutaway backing Any ideas? Your help would be very much appreciated! Have a great week!
