The Shelter Pet Project launches today!
After more than a year of planning, today is the day The Shelter Pet
Project launches. Maddie's Fund is proud to join The Humane Society of the
United States in sponsoring this landmark Ad Council public service campaign -
the first companion animal cause they've ever taken on. And we're thrilled
to be partnering with all of you, and the entire animal welfare community,
in this movement to encourage pet lovers to make shelters their first choice
for finding a new animal family member.
The Ad Council has started to distribute TV, radio, print, outdoor and
internet PSAs to 33,000 media outlets nationwide. With this media reach, and
with your help, The Shelter Pet Project has the potential to place the 3
million healthy and treatable shelter pets who are dying in shelters each year
for lack of a new home.
We're inviting each of you to be a part of this movement. Below you'll
find a link to a preview of the new campaign and to the new campaign website.
The website includes a Partner Page where you can officially sign up and
get access to a local media outreach guide and other collateral materials.
