Try www.freedownloadmanager.org 
for a copy.

If you only want to download occasional files by fTP Internet explorer might be 
adequate 
though.   However, one of the features of FDM seems to be the ability to 
investigate exactly 
what files are on a particular FTP server and download one or more as required.
