Well, Firstly, I suggest you try wayfinder, you get a fairly generous
trial and if someone can lend you a gps receiver for a day then you can
see for yourself what it can do. There is a wayfinder discussion forum
and I am an expert wayfinder user so I'm always available on both this
and other lists to lend a helping hand.

You have a mobile right? Have you looked at Wayfinder Access? It'll
set you back less than a trekker breeze will not to mention providing
you with a lot more information and functionality. All you'll need is
a compatible handset and an external gps receiver.
