[access-uk] skype with no sound from microphone

Thanks for that, but I'd already tried it, but tried it again, without success.
I've updated my sound drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled them, done the same
with skype, can't figure it out.
As I say, msn works.
Apart from what other applications I have installed, the only ones that are
specifically related to recording issues, are, Gold Wave, and total recorder.
I have things like winamp, media player, but they shouldn't play any part in
this.
Any other ideas?
