Are you suggesting for example, I am standing at my local bus stop, Minster Road and I use my mobile phone to see what time the next bus is coming? Well *smile* before I even get as far as taking my mobile phone out, the bus has arrived *smile*. Also in London at least where I live, it is written up how long each bus is away from the stop. OK so I can't read it but I dojn't mind asking someone to tell me, I do not believe I need to be so independent that I cannot ask a sighted person a reasonable question. ----- Original Message ----- From: Alex Stone To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, September 28, 2011 8:58 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: next bus The mobile site does work though Cheers Alex From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Williams Family Sent: 28 September 2011 20:37 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] next bus Hi all for those living, or visiting London, and have stood around frustratedly waiting for the next bus, there is currently a test website for discovering the time of the next bus at your particular busstop. the website is http://coundown.tfl.gov.uk or from your mobile phone http://m.countdown.tfl.gov.uk I have used it at several stops locally in the last week and found it almost totally accurate. You also have the ability to find all the stops each route stops at so if the journey is unfamiliar you can have some idea how far your stop is. Brian
