The regular website won’t work for us VI’s as it’s a graphical site. When you
put in the stop name or bus number it then gives you a map you have to click on
so just stick to the mobile site.

I've had a look at this website Larry and I don't seem to have grasped how to
use it. If you would be so kind as to send me an off list text, explaining it
a little, I would appreciate it. I did put in the bus number, but presumably I
have to put in where I am and all sorts of other details.

But not all bus stops have Countdown whereas on your mobile phone you can have
this information and even pass it on to other people at the bus stop.

Are you suggesting for example, I am standing at my local bus stop, Minster
Road and I use my mobile phone to see what time the next bus is coming? Well
*smile* before I even get as far as taking my mobile phone out, the bus has
arrived *smile*. Also in London at least where I live, it is written up how
long each bus is away from the stop. OK so I can't read it but I dojn't mind
asking someone to tell me, I do not believe I need to be so independent that I
cannot ask a sighted person a reasonable question.

Hi all

for those living, or visiting London, and have stood around frustratedly
waiting for the next bus, there is currently a test website for discovering the
time of the next bus at your particular busstop. the website is

http://coundown.tfl.gov.uk

or from your mobile phone

http://m.countdown.tfl.gov.uk

I have used it at several stops locally in the last week and found it almost
totally accurate. You also have the ability to find all the stops each route
stops at so if the journey is unfamiliar you can have some idea how far your
stop is.
