Gerry,

I don't believe one can set the Keyboard to produce a single quotation mark using this key combination. Its possible to set it to produce the At symbol when set to the American layout, which I appreciate is not what you want to do, but thought I'd just mention it anyway.

To get a single quote, use the Apostrophe key, which I think is the character used for single quotes. HTH.

Cheers,

Mark

Subject: [access-uk] keyboard change

Hi All,

When using Windows 2003, my keyboard presents a double speech
symbol on
pressing shift + number 2, but I want it to present a single
speech mark -
how do I change it.
Note, I am totally blind, so rely entirely on speech with Hal
9.3.
   Any help much appreciated!

Kind regards,

Gerry.
