For scanning simple documents, microsoftDocument Scanning might well be sufficient. It is included with MS Office xp (2002) and higher. I only have the version included with my office Xp here and was actually quite impressed with the scanning results. They kept up with what I got with Finereader at the time. so if you have MS office and just want to scan the occasional document, this may be all you need.

Cheers,

Doris

Hi Chris,
in answer to your original question, I think what you are
looking for is Microsoft Office Document Scanning.
On my HP desktop which is running XP pro, I've got Microsoft
Office Document Scanning under the Microsoft Office Tools
submenu.
I hope this helps.
