Hi Alex.

I don't know whether office document scanning is actually an OCR application. I rather think its just for scanning in documents as images. I did try using it some years ago and never did make it work for me.

Hi Chris,

in answer to your original question, I think what you are
looking for is Microsoft Office Document Scanning.

On my HP desktop which is running XP pro, I've got Microsoft
Office Document Scanning under the Microsoft Office Tools
submenu.
