I don't know what the list policy is on top quoting, but I think most people on the list would be grateful if your message came before the message replied to.

Assuming everything is working properly you won't see them as they'll
have installed silently in the background.

On my win7 x64 system, the last updates marked important were around
the 27th January.
You can see a list of installed updates from the Microsoft Update screen.
