Hi Peter,
Why not go back to using an older version of Windows Live Messenger which works
with your version of Jaws.
I'm still using WLM version 8.5 with no problems.

I am using JAWS v9 as my default screen reader, but have been advised that in
order to access Windows Messenger I ideally need to upgrade to JAWS 13, an
expense I can't justify just for that facility.
Does anyone access windows messenger using NVDA by any chance? I have
installed the latest version but I am unable to open the conversation window or
see recent messages, so any tips and useful keystrokes would be much
appreciated.
