Hi Jackie,

They are buried deep in the Registry. If you really want to
clean them out manually, I can point you to the entry.

Otherwise I suspect that stopping auto complete may clean
them out. I'm not about the experiment on this system, even
for you my dear child. (Smile)

George.

Hi George

Yes it was me who asked. I know how to do that, but what
I'm trying to fathom out is why, when I start to type an
Email in the To field, does it remember people whether they
are in my contacts or not? Where is Vista storing this
information? It isn't a problem, just that I can't work out
where to go and clean them out. I thought it was only
supposed to remember people you had in your address book?

Ho-hum! thanks anyway. I guess it's just a Vista trait that
we'll all come to know and ... accept? (smile.)

Jackie

        Hi Jackie,

Was it you who asked how to stop e-mail addresses
being automatically completed in Vista's mail?

Go to Options, navigate to the Send tab, and then
4th down, uncheck "Automatically complete e-mail addresses
when composing".

        Close and re-start Windows Mail.

        George.
