Hi Mandy.
Apologies if this is teaching grandma to suck eggs, but, when you are trying to
launch an older version of Jaws, are you remembering to unload the version you
have running firstly? You need to do this.
Easiest way is to
position yourself on the desktop on the icon for the older version of Jaws,
use insert + J to unload the version of Jaws currently running,
use windows + M to get back to the desktop
and then press enter to launch the older version.
Alternatively, you could launch narrator to help you unload the current version
of Jaws and find your older version and launch it.
Regards.
Kevin

Hi David.
No matter what I do, JAWS 18 just comes up with all the options but I can’t get
into anything.
Never mind: hopefully they will sole the problem soon at least I can read my
emails on my iPhone.
To read a new message on here, though, I have to go out of the mail progamme
and when I open it again, make sure I read the email I want otherwise that is
the only one it will open properly.
I can write emails as long as I don’t forget where I am. Reminds me of when I
used to work as a typist with typewriters with no speech.
Mandy.

Hi Mandy,
you should be able to have a number of versions of Jaws installed and use any
one of them. Which menus does it do to when you open the desktop shortcut? If
you open the start menu and search for Jaws 18, can you find it there? And if
so does that work?
David.

Thanks David.
I thought perhaps I could use an earlier version of JAWS which I do still have
on here but when I find it on desktop and enter it just goes to menus how do I
start to use it without removing the later version?
Mandy.
