An excellent program is Belarc Advisor from http://www.belarc.com and click
on the Free Download link.
It will tell you all sorts of things, even including the CD keys for a lot
of your software.
You can save the information to a file too, so that you have it for later.

Hi,
I think it is time to format my pc once again. Before I do that, can
someone tell me how I can find-out what sort of internal stuff I have on
this PC, I.E. type of hard drive, kind of chips etc. At present, Hard drive
is 60GB single hard drive, 512mb of RAM, 3.00ghz, intel(R)
pentium(R) 4. =20
As I am going to upgrade it, I thought I get some of the internal stuff
upgraded too.
Any advice gratefully received.
