Darren.

I'm going to go out a lim here.

Windows XP with Service pack 2 installed?

If so it's the Windows Security Management that's alerting you to this.

You can find it in the system tray, hit enter on it and tab through and adjust your settings accordingly.

If you have got NOD32 installed you may need to check a box or radio button telling it you'll manage anti-virus protection yourself or you have a product installed.

I'm not sure of the exact phrasing because it's one of those things that is there, then you fix it and it's gone.

If you need specifics though shout back and I'll disable my anti-virus to replicate and see if I can help you out.

But that's what the alerts will be from.

Cheers

Subject: [access-uk] Turning Off Norton's Security Alerts.

Hi Folks.

As my Norton Anti-Virus is due for renewal next month, I thought I'd give
Nod32 a quick run-out to see if its time to dump Norton.

My problem is that after turning Norton off I'm getting continual warnings
that my system is now at risk. I'm told I can turn these Security Alerts
off, and although I've searched high and low in Norton's config settings to
find the relevant option, my searching has been in vane.

Does anyone out there know how I can turn these security alerts off?

Regards.

Darran
