Hi JackieWell, bloody perseverance got me there in the end, oh, and pairing the devices as well. loll
If you are ever thinking of upgrading anytime soon, I'd highly recommend the n82, its such a lovely phone. It is the most responsive I've ever had. The speech is as responsive as it is on a pc, which is fantastic. No more having to wait for the speech having to catch up with your frantic finger pressing, as it really keeps up with you.
The sound can sometimes go a bit funny, I think mainly due to the positioning of the two speakers, which are on the right hand side of the phone.
There is some excellent features on the phone, which makes it such a feature packed gadget, which can carry out and perform lots of different tasks on the go.
Thanks. Terry----- Original Message ----- From: "Jackie Cairns" <cairnsplace@xxxxxxx>

Terry honey, you aren't doing anything wrong. When you are asked to put in a passkey, just do that and press ok. Then do it on the other phone using the same passkey. Honest, you're doing fine. You can enter any password into the phone, so long as it is the same on both handsets.Once Bluetooth is switched on on both phones, and you have put a password of any numbers into both handsets, you can continue with selecting what you want to send across from one to the other. If you need any more help, shout! It also mentions using a pass key, but doesn't give you the option to put one in.Can you explain how it is done. You can send text messages, contacts, calendar entries, notes and other things. You simply check the items you want to send from the list. It's a really useful and cheap way of backing up your phone rather than sending stuff across using Bluetooth, or forwarding via texts.I only discovered it recently when someone explained a quicker way of backing up text messages. I've got about 90 naughties in a folder that people send for me to pass round, and I didn't want to have to forward them all to my other phone, so now just update the folder now and then using the DTT.Jackie Email: cairnsplace@xxxxxxx Skype Name: Cairnsplace----- Original Message ----- From: "Mike Cassidy" <mike.cassidy@xxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, May 02, 2008 6:47 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Transferring numbersHi Jackie,I didn't realise you could transfer text messages across! Shame, as It'svery tedious sending them from one phone to the other, and a mite costlier than a direct transfer. So what I do is copy contacts either through Bluetooth as Carol suggests, or using the Data Transfer tool. If you use the Data Transfer Tool between two Nokia phones, it's very easyto send the contacts,, text messages, calendar entries and notes acrossinthis way. For example, I have a jokes folder which I sometimes back upon my other phone. I simply link the two phones together using the Data Transfer Tool, and the second phone has the jokes folder updated. Itdoesn't duplicate the jokes that are already in the folder, it just addsthose that weren't there before. I would imagine this would work withyour man's contacts in the same way. I hope that helps.
