Don't RNIB do a sonar device?  I'm sure I remember seeing a pen sonar device

from them in their catalogue but never tried it.  I'd be interested in your 
opinion of this new product, the caretech unit so once you've a review and a

price, perhaps you could post this information to the list providing that is

the moderators don't mind *smile*.
