Hi all -

I used MSConfig on my XP machine to see what was running at start up, and
unchecked 4 things: 'registry cleaner'; a couple of items pertaining to
PCSuite, and one pertaining to 'Anapod'[ipod shuffle software]

Now when I boot up, I get the following message:

"You have used the system configuration utility to make changes to the way
the system starts. The system configuration utility is currently in
diagnostic or selective start up mode causing this message to be displayed,
and the utility to run every time Windows starts. Choose the normal start up
on the general tab to start Windows normally and undo the changes you made
using the system configuration utility"

Then there is an unchecked check box saying: "don't show this message
again, or launch the system configuration utility when Windows starts"

What bothers me, is that the "normal start up" on the general tab, says for
Windoes to load all drivers etc at start up; so will making these simple
changes cause anything else not to be loaded at start up, it seems unlikely,
but then again, why do I get this warning message, just because I've stopped
a couple of programmes launching at start up?

It's probably nothing to worry about, but these warning messages scare me a
bit!

Thanks -

Andy
