Yes, if you have that option checked, then Word will keep trying to offer
suggestions as you type, regarding spelling and grammar; I find that a bitof a
pain and so don't have it enabled. Like I said, I'm still with Word2000, but
would have thought you'd have similar tools menus in XP, though they might be
called something different!

Hmm weird? I don't see auto correct tab in tools/options, but I'm using
office XP and also I noticed that there is an option "spellcheck as you type".
Does this mean that word will only hilight the misspelled entries or try to
correct them? This was unchecked though anyway.

I think you'll find the options you want under tools in Word; under Auto
Correct, you can turn off corrections to your document as you type, and I think
under Language there is a button for spelling and grammar, maybe you have this
set to no. This is in Word2000!

      Hi everyone,

apologise for slightly off topic post, but I have a problem with
spellchecker in word. When I use spellchecker, even though I know for sure
that there are misspelled words, every time I use it I just get a message that
spell and grama check is complete. Does anyone have any idea why would this be
happening? Also, as far as I understand thee's a setting in word that makes
word automaticly correct misspelled words while you're typing. Where can this
be turned off?
