I have done that numerous times and it still remains the same. it tells me I
have 3 MB of data which are rubbish but it does not even give me an opportunity
to delete them!

this is very interesting to me also Henry, because I have been attempting to
run this device, and it tells me that I have 3MB rubbish on my desk but it
does not give me any way by which I could even delete 3MB. please note I am
saying MB and not GB!

Hi Saqib
Many thanks for your below instructions-very helpful. I am very curious as
to why Memory and Disk Scanning Pro was able to clear 4.3 GB of info within
Mail despite myself carefully deleting all email messages in all folders.
Kind regards
Henry

Hi Henry. When you load up the app. Just hitthe scan button and you will
get a message telling you that memory is almost full and this message will
pop up regardless of what your memory status is. Tap ok and the scan should
take around 30 seconds or more. On the left of you screen! You should see
the scan results and you can then close the app.

Hi Saqib
Many thanks for your most helppful suggestions.
I deleted photos in the "deleted photos folder" and gained 1 GB of extra
space. I am currently running Memory and disk scanner Pro and first
selected the CPU button and it appears to be processing. A percentage
monitor appears to be changing all the time and it has been running now for
about ten minutes. Please can you offer any further advice on using this APP?
best wishes
Henry

Hi. Download Memory & Disk Scanner Pro. These all delete all junk files
from all apps but you have to run the scan 3 times if you have allot of junk.
You have to close the app from the app switcher each time but it does a
fantastic job. You can trial the app to begin with. Another way of deleting
junk files is by pressing the power button 5 times in a row. It doesn't
always work but it will delete some junk files as well as restarting your
phone. My final bit of advice is to delete all photos that are in the
deleted photos folder as that can accumulate allot of photos as you delete
them from your photo library.

I wonder how Henry has so much storage taken up with email. I have hundreds
of emails on my iPhone 5s it's five email accounts! and it is only taking up
20 7KB storage! this would include email attachments!

Hi Henry.
The only solution unfortunately may be to delete your email account and add
it again. Its ridiculous, but the email app persistently seems to cache
emails even if you get rid of them. you could also use another email app
like acompli. for more information, you may want to read this:

Hi
Trying to create more free space on my IPhone 5S 32 GB running the latest I O
S 10.0.2. I noticed that Mail was using 4.3 GB of space and I deleted all
emails messages in all folders. However, When I go to setting, storage and
ICloud usage, and then manage
storage, I discover that mail is still using 4.3 GB. This is despite
switching off the phone and restarting. In addition, the amount of free
space on the IPhone is slowly diminishing, obviously there is data being
accumulated but I don't know where to search. Facebook is 1.4 GB and this
also needs to be reduced in size.
Please can anyone offer some suggestions?
best wishes
Henry
