Hi Darren,

Try this:-

1. Go into Control Panel.

2. Go into System.

3. Go to the System Restore tab.

4. Tab to Turn off System Restore on all drives and uncheck it.

5. OK this. It will warn you that all system restore points to this point
will be deleted, do it anyway.

6. Reboot for good measure.

7. Go back in Control Panel/System and follow the same procedure, but turn
it back on.

See if that helps, it has worked for me before.

All the best

Steve

Thanks Tom for the clarification, you're right though, think I'll just make
do with the minor inconvenience of not having the restore facility.

| If you use the recovery disks it'll re-format your hard disk then
reinstall
| everything the way it was when you bought the computer, I don't think this
| is waht you wanted to do.

|| Hi, try system recovery disks or restore disks. This basically will
return
|| your system back to how it was at the factory. Hope that helps.
