hi, usually 5/6 seconds, black and white that is. not tried colour scanning
yet. i use openbook v5 by the way and i think i have it set to scan for
accuracy rather than speed. full specs on the mp170 can be found at:

Hi Kevin,

That looks like a very good deal. I wasn't really thinking of getting a
combined printer/scanner as I've already got the Epson 1650 scanner.
However,, if yours is fast enough, I might go for it, if only to save
space.
Can you let me know how quickly it will scan an A4 page?
