The list to which Ray refers is for the discussion of matters relating to audio
books, mainly but not exclusively the RNIB Talking Book Library. It is
independent of RNIB, but does have RNIB staff members as contributors. To

Don't the answer, though hear of children getting books on the RNIB
list, where I've forwarded your message.

Also, you could try customer services at:

I can be contacted off-list at:

    hi guys,
I have a little 6 year old niece, who has been totally blind from
    birth. Her
dad wants to know if she will be eligible for a talking book machine
    from
    RIB any time soon?.

I think there are age restrictions on when a youngster can apply for a
    guide
dog, but what is the procedure about applying through the local
    authorities
    for a talking book subscription?,
    Billy
