[access-uk] Problems - dont know if they are related.

Hi!

I have managed to land myself with two problems today - no idea if they are
related though.

Firstly - I believe someone was talking about Norton Antivirus a while ago -
apparently the virus definitions are out of date but I cannot seem to renew
them - every time I try to, I get a message saying LU1814 and that I was not
able to access available definitions and to ensure that I was connected to
the internet (which I was at the time - any suggestions?)

2. Today I changed the keyboard language to German but did not intentionally
change anything else in the control panel. Now, about three times, the
machine has suddenly frozen, losing anything I was doing, and requiring a
reboot. I have checked in the power management settings and everything
seems to be ok there - so does anyone know why this may be happening - is
beginning to annoy me, as is my inability to collect virus updates.

Thanks in advance for any help - I still have unread mails for this list so
maybe I will find the Norton answer - but the shutting down is driving me
crazy.

Kirsty.
