William lomas asked regarding the German Shepard thread,
" Why did you let this thread go through in the first place then as the list
moderator?"

,To show tolerance and understanding. I don't have the entire list on
approval only. Therefore mails hit the list and are dealt with accordingly.
This is the typical way on a reasonable list to moderate. If things do get
out of hand I can certainly make you all wait until I've read each and every
individual mail and approved or denied them. I don't want to do this and
unless you want to wait several hours before I can get to all of the mails
I'm guessing you and the other members would like to avoid this as well? If
one or several members require moderation I can do that on a individual by
individual basis, but it is not possible IMHO to use wildcards etc to block
certain words in subject fields etc. Even if it was the variations would
make it a massive pain in the bum. I therefore ask for a bit of grown-up
approaches to posting and replying.
Different people read their mails using various view settings. So sometimes
they've replied before they've seen a mail asking for the thread to stop. I
could be a hardass and say tough. It stops when I say stop and leave it up
to the member to deal with it. We are a list for Visual Impaired folks with
all sorts of levels of computer skills and possibly other disabilities.
Therefore I allow a bit of lee-way.
