Open Book is produced by Freedom Scientific and is a separate scanning/reading
product. If you are familiar with Kurzweil 1000 or perhaps Dolphin Cicero then
it is somewhat similar in purpose and manner of presentation.
Whilst Open Book has traditionally worked with flatbed scanners used since the
early days it can also be used with the Pear camera unit product by Freedom
Scientific. When used with the camera unit you can obtained text from press of
a button in about 2 to 5 seconds. This makes scanning large amounts of text
much quicker.

with, or is it a seperate item/software and is it compatible with most talking
